Hi all, I want to create a managed_shared_memory in exactly the size I needed. Therefore I do something like this: size = sizeof( common_managed_shared_memory ); size += sizeof( MyClassInSharedMem ); managed_shared_memory segment(create_only, "name", size ); MyClassInSharedMem allocates itself some memory by segment->allocate(). I added this also to the size, but get a boost::interprocess::bad_alloc exception on allocating this additional memory. Are there some magic bytes I forgot to add? Many thanks in advance Kai

Weird compilation error when using boost::geometry

Hi, I have implemented my own "point" as specified by the point concept http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_59_0/libs/geometry/doc/html/geometry/refere… When I use it along with boost::geometry::model::polygon/multi_polygon, GCC refuses to compile, tested on GCC 4.9/5.2. What's even more weird is that CLANG 3.6 would happy accept my code. BTW, the Point implementation is part of a large project, it difficult to replace it with boost::geometry::model::point. [Log] Random "double free or corruption" in dtor of attribute_value_set

Hi Gentlemen, I have an application that is using Boost.Log. The application is long-term running (days, weeks, maybe months). Currently I am experiencing random crashes in my application that seem related to Boost.Log. I dont't say that is is a bug in Boost.Log, but probably I am doing something wrong. I am using version 1.55.0 but I also tried upgrading to version 1.61.0 but it is still happening there. I am currently able to reproduce the crash by forcing logs at a pace of 3 records per second. Then it takes up to 3 days for the crash to happen. The application is multi-threaded and therefore several threads may be logging at the same time. For that reason I chose "severity_logger_mt". Need help with errors while building boost for clang on android NDK

I'm using NDK r11 and I'm setting up project-config.jam to build boost using clang + llvm STL. I'm running into a few errors that I do not know how to solve. I will post my config file at the bottom. Release 1.62.0 of the Boost C++ Libraries is now available. These open-source libraries work well with the C++ Standard Library, and are usable across a broad spectrum of applications. The Boost license encourages both commercial and non-commercial use. This release contains two new libraries and numerous enhancements and bug fixes for existing libraries. New Libraries * Fiber: Framework for userland-threads/fibers, from Oliver Kowalke. * QVM: Boost QVM is a generic library for working with quaternions, vectors and matrices of static size with the emphasis on 2, 3 and 4-dimensional operations needed in graphics, video games and simulation applications, from Emil Dotchevski. [Boost::asio] Problem using the same io_service with many sockets

Hi all, I have defined an io_service that is used by two sockets, one of them uses tcp, and the other udp. When the callback of this async_read_some is called socket.async_read_some(boost::asio::buffer(readBuffer), boost::bind(&RequestHandler::onRead, shared_from_this(), boost::asio::placeholders::error, boost::asio::placeholders::bytes_transferred)); A udp socket is created with the same io_service and an async_receive_from is called. On the callback of this read operation I try to write to the tcp socket but it captures an exception with message: "unknown exception". When this happens, the client that is listening to the tcp socket, receives "End of file" error. I resolved this problem with an io_service per socket but I would like to use the same io_service. Someone has any idea why this happens? Thanks! Victoria

[Thread] Thread library in boost 1.62 broken with g++ 4.6.3 and -std=c++0x

Hello folks, I've just wanted to try out the new release and noticed that the Thread library was not building. The exact compiler version is "g++ (Ubuntu/Linaro 4.6.3-1ubuntu5) 4.6.3". I'm aware that g++ 4.6.3 is not among the compilers tested for C++11, but it is for pre-Cpp11; I'm wondering if there is a reason for that which I might not be aware of (any known problems?).
